"The Camelot Association for the Holistic Development of the Self is a non-profit institution founded in September 2001 as the crystallization of José Carlos Ledo de Oliveira's dream, a Judo Sensei, eager of taking the children of lacking communities to teach them martial arts guidelines that constitute valuable tools for the formation and invigoration of human character, as well as the rescue of self-esteem and human being appraisement.

That ideal involved also María Rita Conceição Vidal's aspirations, a social assistant that exercised a similar work at Nordeste de Amaralina's childhood in Salvador, Bahia, according to the High Master The Morya's summons, one of the members of the Great White Brotherhood that called for its recruits to take care for children here at Earth.

Master El Morya was reincarnated in the Middle Age, as King Arthur of England that commanded a beginner's brotherhood "The Knights of the Round Table" at a kingdom named Camelot.

This way, following a natural and intuitive inspiration, as a way of offering homage to Master El Morya, paradigm of this work, the association was named Camelot after him.

Martial arts, originated at Far East, were chosen as instrument to unite the cultures of that side with the West's, introducing the philosophy that tradition, respect, hierarchy and order are the bases for forming character and development of society, pursuing the construction of a fair and more human-like future."
